DSBN Students Recognized for Outstanding Accomplishments
Two Grade 12 students at the District School Board of Niagara are being honoured as “Young Women of Distinction”.
At Thursday evening’s awards banquet, Ridgeway-Crystal Beach High School’s Lindsey Middleton was presented with a Vicky Hull Young Woman of Distinction award in the Arts and Culture category, while Thorold Secondary’s Laura Skellet was recognized in the Community Service category.
Women of Distinction Awards are presented annually by YWCA branches across Canada to pay tribute to women who have distinguished themselves through accomplishments in numerous areas; from the arts, to public service and entrepreneurship.
This year’s awards included a record 45 nominees.
