2,000,000 Minutes of Code

Dec 05, 2017

The District School Board of Niagara, in collaboration with ihub Niagara has taken on the challenge of reaching 2,000,000 minutes of coding in one week – December 4-10, 2017. The goal is in participation with Hour of Code – the global movement that aims to demystify coding and make it more accessible for K-12 students.

If every student in the DSBN spends 1 hours coding, the goal of 2,000,000 minutes is attainable.

Hour of Code started as a 1-hour, computer science introduction to show that anyone can learn the basics of coding and computer science. It has since evolved into a global movement reaching tens of millions of students across the globe.  Hour of Code takes place each year during Computer Education Science Week.
