    The Aboriginal Consultant provides leadership for the elementary and secondary schools, developing cultural awareness in schools, implementing appropriate instructional strategies for literacy and numeracy development and on building partnerships with Aboriginal organizations.

    Youth Worker: Aboriginal Focus

    The Youth worker provides counseling using teachings and traditions. Assists students with their applications for status, post secondary funding and for college/university/workplace. She helps students and families connect to community supports and services.The Youth worker provides cultural workshops and recruits Aboriginal students to various cultural programs both post secondary and summer length.

    Aboriginal Youth Liaison

    The Aboriginal Liaison worker provides support, advocacy and referrals to Aboriginal Status, Non-Status, Metis and Inuit students and families throughout the District School Board of Niagara with a focus on cultural education and student retention.

    Cultural Support Program Coordinator:
    Completing the Circle After School Program

    Cindilee provides programming support to the Aboriginal Youth Mentors in our after school programs (cultural teachings, storytelling, program planning). School visits and cultural presentations to classes and small groups is also part of her portfolio.
