Cooperative Education

Cooperative Education provides students with a planned learning experience, for which credits are granted, that integrates classroom theory and learning experiences at a workplace. Students are able to apply and refine the knowledge and skills acquired in a related secondary school course.
Cooperative education courses include a classroom component comprised of  pre-placement and integration activities, and a placement component. Placements provide students with challenging opportunities to apply and extend the knowledge, and practice and refine the skills, acquired in the related course and to demonstrate achievement of placement expectations that reflect current workplace practices and standards.
Cooperative Education is a partnership among education and business that involves students, teachers, parents and employers.
