French Immersion Registration

French Immersion Admission - 2012/13 School Year

Families will receive notification about their child's application by email on April 2 or by letters which will be mailed on April 2.

French Immersion Registration (CLOSED)

(APPLICATIONS MADE AFTER FEBRUARY 29 WILL BE PUT ON A WAITLIST AND PLACED IN CLASSES AS SPACE BECOMES AVAILABLE)

The District School Board of Niagara is pleased to now offer French Immersion beginning at the Grade 4 level across the system. Grade 5 entry will continue (for 2012-2013 only). Grade 7 entry will continue as well for St. Catharines and Niagara-on-the-Lake (for 2012-2013 only).

Grade 1 Pilot French Immersion Programs will begin September 2012 at 5 locations throughout the board.

If you are unsure whether or not your child would be considered an "Out of Boundary" student, please use the School Locator at the bottom of this page.

  • Type in your address and then click on Search
  • Your Street will appear below - click on that
  • This will bring up a list of all available programming within your boundary, any French Immersion school outside of this list would be considered as "Out of Boundary".

Please be aware that "Out of Boundary" students are considered after students within the school's boundary and you would have to provide transportation.

Registration begins January 9, 2012 - closes February 29, 2012
