Indigenous Student Voice Symposium

June 11, 2015
Walker Living Campus

The 1st Annual Indigenous Student Voice Leadership Symposium will be held this spring at our new Walker Living Campus. On Thursday, June 11 we will be welcoming self-identified First Nation, Métis and Inuit intermediate students to take part in a symposium created and led by their peers. Students who are interested in learning more about their culture and meeting other Indigenous students are encouraged to register.

This full day event will feature Eddy Robinson as our keynote speaker as well as four workshops spread throughout the day. The ideas for these workshops came from our intermediate student leaders and represent the importance of Indigenous culture in education as they see it.

The symposium will run from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm

Transportation and lunch will be provided for students. This is a free event, however, there is limited enrolment. Please sign up by Tuesday, May 26. Students will be contacted regarding acceptance and transportation for this event.
